Hiatus

Just feel the urge to blog but no idea what to blog about. I have a few post actually, but that will be up some other days. This space is most probably going to be on hiatus again because the next few weeks or next month will be a busy one. Yeah same old excuse of either being busy or lazy, what to do haha. Meanwhile, enjoy your school everyone :)

Purpose in life

Sometimes I just wonder, what's the main purpose that keeps us staying alive on Earth? I'm not suicidal or anything like that, but I'm just really curious. When we're young, we just constantly want to grow up, thinking that being a young adult would be cool and we can do everything we want, enjoy life, hang out with friends everyday. But as we start to grow older, we realized that this is not true at all. As a student, we're always chased by assignment deadlines, project submission, presentation etc. Even during holiday, when we meet up with our friends, it's to discuss about our project work. I feel like I literally have no life. Of course we do have days whereby we are free, but by that time, we'll be so tired that we just want to stay at home and rest the whole day, probably not wanting to interact with anybody. Maybe it just applies for me, but I feel this way every single day. So when you finally finish your studies, the next phase of your life is to work, which is probably the worst part about being an adult because you practically work 30-40 years until you retire. If you're getting the job that you're passionate for, then good for you. If not, you'll probably hope that you can go heaven soon lol. Everyday is just, work, home, sleep and it goes on and on. Also the main reason we work is for money, to pay bills and support the family. Hence basically, we work to survive until the day we retire and enjoy a few more years until we enter the coffin. I know everybody would have a goal in life that they want to achieve when they're still alive and kicking, but how many of us actually manage to reach it? My goal in life is actually to go to third world countries and do volunteering work, giving joy to people who are less fortunate. If not, I would want to go backpack traveling. Yeah, not that interesting but I do hope it comes true. And I would like you guys to think about your purpose in life and do you think you're able to achieve it?

Day 4 in Hongkong

Finally day 4 of Hong Kong is up. Yes I know, after so long. It took me 3 months plus and I'm still not even done with my whole Hong Kong trip. I'm considering whether to post anymore the next time I go overseas because I'm just so lazy and I kept procrastinating non stop.
Anyways~ We didn't do anything much that day. We met Charmaine's aunt and uncle for breakfast, and they treat us dimsum. I can't remember where was it, but I think it was somewhere near (not really) to our hotel, which is near Jordan. Because we walked from our hotel to the dimsum place and I was so hungry haha. I can still remember the way there but I can't remember the road name. The food was good but I had to force myself to finish the food because they ordered so much (I didn't take photos after that, i was too busy eating), and it's not polite to have so much left over when adults treat you. You guys know I always don't finish my food, and her aunt kept putting food on our plate so we just kept eating. But so thankful for the treat even though it was my first time seeing them. After the breakfast, we went separate ways and shopped at Mongkok and bought tons of shorts and jeans. We ended up going back to the hotel at 5 to put down our stuff because they were so heavy. Fell asleep for a while, and around 730pm, Charmaine's other relative came and drove us to eat at this pizza shop. They were so fun and they kept wanting to pay for us when we went to buy snacks. Charmaine's dad asked her to pass something to them, so we hid the money inside and pass it to them. The funny thing was they tried to search the car because they knew that we would hide the money somewhere, but in the end they didn't find out hehe. So when we reach our hotel, we just packed and slept. Day 5 is the last day, let's see when I'll update then haha.

eat eat and eat

Had lunch at Watami (Junction 8 branch) with mum last Sunday. The food was quite nice, we spent around $60 for both of us, which I think was quite affordable for what we've ordered.

Met up with pat last week, I can't really remember when we met. But yeah, she was just doing her work and I'm basically doing nothing there haha. Then her friends came and ya.. nothing much. And I learnt how to pronounce "croissant" that day, we even called min just to tease her for her pronunciation.
I actually don't have anything interesting to update, and I didn't take any photos because I'm working these 2 weeks since it's my break. Can't even dress up nicely to go out with friends because all of them have started school, plus other than working days, I have to stay home to complete my assignments. What is life?
